SyCip × SimWorks J.J. Bar
SyCip Designs × SimWorks J.J. Bar
The J.J. Bar was born from the thoughtful spirit of framebuilder Jeremy Sycip of Santa Rosa, California. Brought to life through SimWorks’ design sensibility and the trusted craftsmanship of NITTO, this handlebar blends creative vision with precise manufacturing.
While inheriting the innovative concept of the original version—which allowed road-style bracket levers to be mounted on a flat bar—the new J.J. Bar updates the grip diameter to 22.2 mm. This change broadens compatibility, allowing the use of flat-bar brake levers, thumb shifters, and a wider range of components. The design has also been refined to better suit relaxed city commuting, creating a comfortable and inviting riding feel that naturally complements a wide variety of urban bikes.
The handlebar width has also been expanded from the original 620 mm to 740 mm, offering greater stability and control for gravel riding and touring. With additional SimWorks refinement, the 31.8 mm center clamp section has been extended, making it easier to mount large front bags or electronic accessories. The result is a modernized handlebar that harmonizes with a wide range of riding styles.
