The second collaboration between Tomii Cycles and SimWorks is here "Farwest Grip"

About a year has passed since we introduced the "Faraway Tire”, the first product born from our collaboration with Tomii Cycles. Covered with iconic Southwestern motifs cacti, canyons, and a full moon shining over endless open desert, the Faraway quickly became one of SimWorks' biggest product launches of 2025 and remains one of our best-selling tires.

Tire tread patterns are typically designed with a singular purpose: performance. They are carefully engineered to maximize traction, control rolling resistance, and perform on specific terrain. Function naturally comes first.

But when those functional requirements pass through Nao Tomii's philosophy of "Build Fun Bikes!", the result becomes something far more playful without sacrificing performance.

That spirit gave birth to the Farwest Grip, the second chapter in the SimWorks x Tomii Cycles collaboration.

When it comes to unique grips, there's no better place than Austin, Texas. Long regarded as one of the homes of BMX, Austin has inspired countless grip designs from legendary BMX brands to signature models developed by local professional riders. It's the perfect environment for creating and refining grips, and it's where Nao has spent countless hours testing prototypes.

The result is a grip that feels every bit as good as it looks. A slightly larger diameter provides a confident hold, while a tacky rubber compound delivers excellent grip and comfort. We obsessed over the ride feel just as much as the graphics.

High-performance race components certainly have their place, and we love them too. But we believe products filled with personality, creativity, and pure fun are just as important. The Farwest Grip is our celebration of that idea, a reminder that riding bikes should always make you smile.
