Randi Jo Fabrications x SimWorks Desert Cap

These desert caps were born out of frequent asks from Randi Jo Fab's customers to add sun coverage to our existing caps.  Nate, their friend and excellent luthier (@stahmanguitars) was our most recent ask and it turned out so great we decided to make a limited run. This is our favorite linen to date - a perfect medium weight with a hand that feels like it will hold up to long days in the saddle.

Linen is an ideal fabric for warm to hot and humid weather.  It absorbs perspiration and, similar to wool, linen is also odor resistant making it a perfect choice for summer touring. At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces and with its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy. 

Made with our classic four panel proportions with an added sun-protective flap. Our brims are slightly wider than standard cycling caps giving you a bit more protection from the elements.

• 9" flap for full neck coverage
• Elastic in back panel for a nice fit.
• 100% Linen, 100% cotton twill tape finish
• Stitched and stiffened brim

CARE: 

We recommend rinsing your cap after getting it sweaty as the salts inherent in our bodies will leach the dye out of the fabric causing discoloration.  Best to hand wash with cool water and a mild soap, hang dry (no dryer).  We machine wash ours on a gentle cycle, but the brim can get misshapen, if that happens an iron will help flatten it.
